In January 2025, Aalto University Winter School offers you the opportunity to combine an academic learning experience with the best Finnish winter has to offer. Students are taught by motivated teachers and experts from Aalto University with hands-on learning and innovative approaches. All our courses prepare students to tackle real-world challenges in a global context.
Each course is complemented by the social program where participants from all winter school courses can easily network and connect in a relaxed environment. The social events and extracurricular excursions allow you to get to know Finnish culture, nature and history through authentic experiences.

Sustainable development requires a fundamental shift in how resources are used, and the transition will have fundamental implications. The students will learn how circular business models are designed and how they provide value to the customer.
Join an intensive course focused on branding and design thinking. This project-based course allows students to work in small teams to redesign the brand of an established Finnish company.
Design thinking is a problem-solving methodology that makes it easier to identify challenges and create solutions for both individuals and organisations. This summer course explores the Nordic aspect of design, emphasising sustainability and ecological thinking, as well as functionalism and critical design.
