Since 2014, the Homecoming Day has been held every two years. The next Homecoming Day alumni event will be on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Otaniemi. The theme of the event is 'International Finland in 2030?'

The keynote speech will be held by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, our alum Elina Valtonen on the topic ‘Europe in the new era of geopolitics’. The keynote speech will be followed by a discussion with panelists Aino Bergius, CEO of Slush, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, Executive in Residence of Aalto University School of Business, Siamäk Naghian, Managing Director at Genelec, and Sanna Suvanto-Harsaae, the Board Chair (e.g. Finnair, Posti and BoConcept). The main seminar will be held in English. The discussion will be moderated by Hannu Seristö, Professor at Aalto University.

All departments of the School of Business will have a strong presence in the event’s diverse parallel program. More information about the parallel sessions can be found on the program page. The School of Business Alum of the Year will also be announced during the event. After the day program, the event continues at the School of Business with a buffet dinner and the music of the Boston Promenade Big Band!

Whether you're a recent alumni or an alumni of many years, come and celebrate Homecoming Day with your friends!

Supporting the School of Business

Ticket sales cover only part of the costs of organising the day. If you would like to donate to the School of Business to support quality research, teaching and future generations of business students, you can do so here. Every donation is valuable to us. A warm thank you for your donation!

P.S. Your donation will also be even more impactful now that Aalto is running a university-wide fundraising campaign until the end of 2026. Every donor will be sent a Shimmering Wood pin made of nanocellulose to mark their participation in the campaign. Join us in the campaign!
