A! Walk- Mini Hiking to Nuuksio National Park
Our participants spent an afternoon immersed in the lush greenery of Nuuksio National Park, enjoying the serene beauty of the Nordic landscape.
On August 1st, a lively group of nature lovers gathered for a refreshing hike in Nuuksio National Park. Known for its clear lakes, gentle hills, and dense pine forests, Nuuksio offered an ideal setting for a peaceful afternoon adventure.
The hour-and-a-half hike took the group through some of Finland’s most beautiful landscapes. They walked through thick forests with moss-covered floors and passed by small, mineral-rich lakes with brown waters.
As they hiked, easy conversations flowed, accompanied by the calming sounds of nature. The simple joy of hiking with friends made the experience both energizing and relaxing.
This outing highlighted the comfort and joy of exploring nature with friends, leaving everyone with a deeper connection to Finland’s wilderness and each other.
A! Walk
A! Walks is a summer course centered around walking-based learning, exploring Otaniemi campus and its surrounding urban–natural spaces. Rather than standalone lectures or experiments, the program is designed as a curated sequence of sensory, interdisciplinary walks, guiding participants toward experiences in coexistence, awareness, action, and futures. If successful, A! Walks may be continued during the regular semester.
