FITech Network University
Study courses organised by Finnish universities of technology free of charge. Courses are aimed at all Finns and permanent residents of Finland.
The FITech Network University offers a number of interesting ICT courses by Aalto University which are free of charge for the participants. Studies include both massive open online courses (MOOCs) and courses for which there is a separate application process.
Most courses have no specific prerequisites, making them suitable for students of all backgrounds.
The courses are well suited for high school and other upper secondary school students, but teachers are also welcome.

FITech 101: Digi & Data is a combination of courses that offer you a comprehensive introduction of the basic digital skills you need on every field of work, starting from basics of programming.

There are no prerequisites for the courses, you only need a modern browser (e.g. Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) and a working internet connection to access the material.
Cryptography is used throughout the digital world and is at the very heart of information security. Cryptography protects things like social media browsing, Whatsapp messaging and online banking. This course will take you deeper into the world of cryptography. The course has no schedule and can be completed independently at your own pace.
The course consists of traditional coding exercises in Python, where you write short programs following the instructions given. After completing the course, you will be able to write small computer programs and you will also understand similar programs written by others. The course can be completed independently and remotely, except for the exam. The exam will be taken at the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi.
This course aims to demystify digital transformation and view it from a number of different perspectives such as general, technology, society level and company level perspectives. The course doesn't have any prerequisites. There is no exam, no presence required and no particular schedule except for the weekly deadlines for exercises.
Internet Forum is a studia generalia course. This year's theme is Telecommunications in Cross-Roads: Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors. The course handles hot topics in Internet and wireless information technology, and the guest speakers are leaders in their fields, scientists, innovators, and business and technology officers in their companies.
