Unite! University alliance invites students and student associations to send proposals of collaborative projects for seed funding. The funding is open to all subjects and extracurricular topics. The objective is to activate Unite! students to jointly pursue new activities, e.g., joint projects, exhibitions, events, excursions, competitions, hackathons, in areas such as innovation, sports, career, language, education, communication, outreach or any other promising idea.

For student activities there must be students from at least two Unite! universities. The nine European Unite! universities include Aalto, KTH (Sweden), Grenoble INP-UGA (France), PoliTO (Italy), TU Darmstad (Germany), TU Graz (Austria), UPC (Spain), ULisboa (Portugal) and Wroclaw Tech (Poland).

Who can apply?

  • Under- and Postgraduate students (including PhD Students)
  • Student organisations/associations
  • Units and service centres of Unite! universities (such as sports unions, language centres etc.)

The maximum amount of funding for an accepted proposal is 20 000 Euros. The deadline for applications is 15 December 2024. The funding decision is expected by 10 February 2025.

Application instructions

Please read carefully the instructions on Unite!'s website and be in touch with Johanna Kaila (see contact details below) no later than December 1.

How to find partners for your idea?

The primary challenge faced by Unite! Seed Fund applicants has been finding potential international partners within the Unite! Alliance. This year, we’re excited to introduce the Unite! Seed Fund Ideathon, happening from November 27-29, at Graz University of Technology. This in-person event connects you with potential international partners within the Unite! community. It’s the perfect platform to meet, collaborate, and innovate transforming your idea into reality. Don't miss this unique opportunity to innovate and apply until 06 October 2024

But don't worry if you can't attend the Graz event. We can help you reach out to students in the other universities. Contact Johanna Kaila (see contact details below) with a short introduction to your idea.
