Program Assistant

Aalto University Summer School caters to international students, working professionals and lifewide learners who want to combine a short course at Aalto University with a Finnish experience. The Summer School is a part of Aalto University’s Lifewide Learning services.

We are looking for a

Program Assistant

to join the team during spring 2025. In this position, you will work in an international academic environment with a team dedicated to lifewide learning. The position is targeted at students.

As a Program Assistant, you assist us during the application period for next summer’s courses. The work includes guiding our prospective students in the application process, helping them navigate the course selection and participating in the summer school’s admissions and registration process. You are often our students' first point of contact, and we appreciate fluent communication skills and a friendly attitude.

Other tasks include helping the team prepare for the summer with, for example, event organisation and communication-related tasks. According to the relevant skills of the selected candidate, other coordination or content creation tasks may also be included.

The position is part-time (60-80%, agreed with the selected candidate) and fixed-term between 3.2.-31.5.2025. You will work on the Otaniemi campus, with an opportunity for hybrid working and fitting the work around your study schedule. The salary depends on the part-time percentage and is 2300€ for a full-time position.

Key tasks include

● Customer service and supporting incoming students, primarily through online channels

● Assisting in administrative tasks related to the summer school application period and student admissions

● Participating in event and social program planning for the summer

● Creating and updating informational materials related to the summer school, Aalto University and staying in Finland
