ARK.trai Training 1-15 ects (1 credit correspond to 80 hours of work)
The aim of the optional training is to provide the student with the necessary skills in working life when applying theoretical knowledge to practical solutions. During the internship, the student does the work of an architect under supervision. Work done in an architectural or interior design office or in the public administration of the field, in accordance with one's
own field of study, is accepted as a professional internship. The internship requires independent participation in and assistance in planning tasks. The work tasks must be related to the architect's job description. As a general rule, the supervisor must be an architect, landscape architect or interior architect, and in public administration also a zoning engineer or the like.
Optional training max. 15 ects may be accepted for the degree of architect. Acceptance of optional training is case-by-case. The condition for approving the training is that the student prepares a free-form internship report. The appropriate length of the report is 2-3 A4 pages and should typically include e.g. general remarks on the architect's job role and task management, organization and its structure, occupational safety and health, etc. In the report, the student also evaluates the development of his / her own skills and the learning that has taken place during the internship / work.

- Signed work certificate. The certificate states e.g. employer, duration of internship and job duties.
The documents listed above will be submitted to the study coordinator of major of Architecture by email. The internship is approved by the professor whose field of study the work is mainly related to, and the student may include the training in the elective studies of the master’s degree.
