As the School of Business alumnus/alumna, you have the opportunity support our current students in their studies and transition to the working life through mentoring and career events, for example.
Become a mentor for a student
Alumni, are you ready for open dialogue, to share your experiences, knowledge and skills and develop your sparring skills? Do you want to meet the newest Aalto generation and join our interdisciplinary mentor network? Do you want to discover new cultural perspectives?
In the Aalto University Mentoring Programme, students are provided with the opportunity to meet with people who are already part of working life and develop their own abilities and expertise. The programme provides its participants with mutual benefits and collaborative opportunities.
Every year, the programme brings together three hundred Finnish and foreign students and alumni, both in Finland and abroad. The programme is a meeting ground for different fields, disciplines, nations and generations. Every year, there are tens of School of Business alumni as mentors for students in the programme.
Share your experiences for students in School of Business career events
Together with the School of Business Career Services, we organize many career and work life events for our students, where we invite the School's alumni to share their career stories and experiences from the working life. Alumni's experiences are very important and useful for the students!
Examples of School of Business career events for students:
- Welcome Evening for new master's students
- Meet Your Community event for first-year students ('mursus') in Finnish
- Coffee with alumni / Alumni chatevents
- Theme talk with alumni event (alumni sharing their experiences around a certain theme)
