Microsoft Teams: Quick guide
Microsoft Teams is an Aalto Office 365 application, and it enables efficient teamwork. Teams is available to all employees and students at Aalto University. It suits well for e.g. projects, student groups, and service teams. Aalto has both the browser version and the desktop application, and a mobile version is available for phones.
Features
- Teams brings together a team's conversations, files, and meetings. The Teams' workspaces can be modified easily to fit the exact collaboration needs of each team.
- The conversations on the team channels reduce the need to send emails back and forth, and all members of the team can participate. The conversations can be searched and the topics filtered afterward.
- Teams enables online meetings with audio, chat, and video. Also, other familiar features from Skype, such as 1:1 and one-to-many chats and calls are available in Teams.
- The team members can co-author and comment documents easily when the document is saved to Teams.
