Permission forms for electronic publishing in Aaltodoc publication archive

Open access publishing is recommended and compliant with the Aalto University goal of promoting open science. Open access publishing allows publications to be disseminated efficiently to a wider audience, thus increasing their visibility.

Electronic doctoral theses and publication series of Aalto University are registered to Aaltodoc publication archive. The full text of the publication can be published in Aaltodoc only upon the permission of the author of the publication. 

A. Doctoral theses

Please fill in, and sign the permission. The permission form can be submitted to us by e-mail (scanned, pdf) to [email protected]

B. Other publications

Please note that the publication can be published in Aaltodoc only upon the permission of all the publication authors. Options: a) each author completes and sign their own copy of the permission form or b) the authors complete and sign a shared form (all authors sign the same form). C) The authors responsible for the compilation (e.g. editors, correspondent authors) can also complete and sign the form on behalf of all the authors. If you choose this option please use the form C.

Alternatively, you can publish under a Creative Commons (CC) licenses. With CC license there is no need to fill in and sign the permission form. Add the CC license information directly to your publication. Read more about the CC licenses on page Open content licenses - Creative Commons.
