We are here to assist you! Below, we outline three options to help you achieve this, along with an explanation of how each option differs.

Through a customised program, we can create a comprehensive experience that includes teaching, extracurricular activities, and course-specific support. In our Summer School and Winter School courses, students enjoy a slightly more independent experience but have a wider range of topics to choose from.

Custom programs

Tailored timing: Our custom programs are tailored to meet your needs and can be organised at any time throughout the year.
Flexible duration and topics: The length and content of each program are collaboratively designed with you to ensure relevance and impact. Find out some of our example topics.
Student selection: You have autonomy in selecting the group size and the students who will participate in the program.
Comprehensive invoicing: The program's cost is fully invoiced to the sending institution. Depending on your policies, students can cover the full program cost or a portion of it by paying it to the sending institution.
Support with accommodation and activities: We offer you assistance with reserving and recommending accommodation and free-time activities to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
Designated program support: Each customised program has a designated team member who leads the group during visits and is available for any questions about the program, Aalto University, or Finland in general.

Summer School

Summer School schedule: Our summer school courses are held in July and August, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy the Finnish summer.
Diverse course offerings: We provide a broad selection of topics spread across multiple weeks, catering to various interests and academic needs. Each course lasts two weeks, and students have the opportunity to combine multiple courses for a comprehensive learning experience.
Application period and admissions: Applications for our summer school open at the beginning of February and close at the end of May. Admission is based on our set criteria and course availability. Small numbers of students from one institution can be admitted to each course to maintain a diverse learning environment.
Flexible payment options: Students can pay their fees directly to us, or we can invoice the sending institution.
Independent travel arrangements: Students are responsible for organising their own travel arrangements and can join the official social program at a separate cost. The summer school team members help students on email and campus.

Winter School

Winter School schedule: Our winter school courses are held in January or February, typically before the Lunar New Year. It's the prime time to experience the Finnish winter!
Different courses to choose from: We aim to provide several courses for students to choose from so that everyone can find something that interests them.
Application period and admissions: Applications for our summer school open at the beginning of October and close at mid-November. Admission is based on our set criteria and course availability. Small numbers of students from one institution can be admitted to each course to maintain a diverse learning environment.
Flexible payment options: Students can pay their fees directly to us, or we can invoice the sending institution.
Independent travel arrangements: Students are responsible for organising their own travel arrangements and can join the official social program at a separate cost. The summer school team members help students on email and campus.
