What is the AIESMA summer school?
In the Artificial Intelligence-enabled Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Manufacturing (AIESMA) summer school, the goal is to explore the synergy between artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable development practices in the manufacturing sector. The summer school includes an online part from 8 to 18 July and an on-site part at the University of Trento, Italy, from 22 July to 2 August 2024.
Who can apply for the summer school?
Students of Aalto University and other universities who meet the application criteria. The instructions on this page are aimed at Aalto University students, excluding students of Master's Programme in Manufacturing, for whom the summer school is a mandatory by curriculum.

How much does the summer school cost?
The participation fee for the entire summer school is EUR 800 for Aalto University students (Aalto is an EIT Manufacturing partner university). More information on the organizer's website.
How can I apply for mobility support for summer school?
Aalto University students can, under certain conditions, apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant (short-term blended mobilities) for the summer school. The mobility grant is 79 EUR/day. If you are interested in this mobility support, please contact Melina Nummi (melina.nummi (at) aalto.fi) before applying to the summer school.
Can you get credit from the summer school and how?
The summer school corresponds to the EIT Manufacturing Summer School (5 ECTS) course. You can get 5 credits from Aalto University for the completed summer school as a whole. You cannot register for the course in Sisu.
