The Bachelor’s Programme in International Business provides students with a comprehensive range of skills and knowledge to build, develop and lead companies on a global scale. A bachelor’s degree in business with an international focus opens up a wide variety of career opportunities across all industries and continents.

Puhakka, who also considered the profession of a wilderness guide, studied marketing and international business management at the School of Business. Now he combines his business expertise with garden work in a Finnish family business specialising in horticulture.
Saara Hietanen became interested in organisational activities in upper secondary school through her love for animals, but only started a career in organisations and advocacy work after working in an international auditing company. Instead of animal rights, Hietanen ended up promoting fair taxation.

Strategic Management in a Changing World is a unique Master’s programme that teaches students how to develop effective strategy in a rapidly changing world. Graduates are analytical decision-makers who can identify valuable business opportunities by evaluating of complex global megatrends such as sustainability, digitalization, and globalization. To action these new opportunities, the programme teaches students how to bring an entrepreneurial mindset into their organizations.
The Master’s Programme in People Management and Organizational Development
provides students with expert knowledge and the analytical, communication and teamworking skills needed to help organizations to develop their operations successfully and sustainably. Upon graduation students work in expert and leadership roles in the fields of human resource management and organizational development. The programme further offers students a unique chance to complete a double degree programme with the University of Queensland (AU) or University of South Carolina (US). The programme is run in close collaboration with business, public organizations and NGOs. Thus, the programme offers students the latest knowledge in people management and organizational development in rapidly changing world of work and organizations.
Studying in the Master’s Programme in Business Analytics gives students a unique combination of skills in leadership, business, and technology. Programme graduates are future leaders of the digital and sustainable era. The programme provides students with in-depth knowledge in data-based decision-making and analytics and allows them to specialise in different business domains.
The School of Business offers altogether eleven exciting English-taught Master's programmes to select from – and one taught in Finnish.

When to apply?
Bachelor's programme taught in Finnish: 11.–25.3.2025

The application period for Bachelor’s Programme in International Business is from 8 to 23 January 2025. Studies start in August-September 2025.
Applicants are selected to pursue a BSc degree (Econ. and Bus. Admin.) in the Bachelor’s Programme in International Business at the School of Business Mikkeli Campus and a MSc degree (Econ. and Bus. Admin.) in one of the School of Business Master’s programmes at the Otaniemi Campus.
The application period for Aalto Bachelor's Programme in Economics (taught in English) is from 8 to 23 January 2025. Studies start in August-September 2025. Applicants are selected to complete the degrees Bachelor and Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration. Admission is based on either SAT/ACT test results or grades obtained in Finnish Matriculation Examination, IB, EB or RP/DIA degree.
It is also possible to apply on the basis of performance in Talousguru competition, Finnish National High School Mathematics Competition or Datatähti contest (the application period is from 11 to 25 March 2025).
The admissions to Master's programmes at Aalto University in the field of Business and Economics are organised once a year. The application period for studies starting in autumn 2019 is from 3 December 2018 to 11 January 2019.
