Foundations for doctoral thesis work
Doctoral research of each doctoral student is based on their research plan (aalto.fi), which is included in their Doctoral personal study plan, DPSP. Supervision is a central aspect of doctoral research and thesis work, as well as having adequate means for conducting the planned research.

Research fields and supervising professors
Research field is an area of academic research in which the school has agreed to provide doctoral education. The research fields of the School of Business are called majors. Each doctoral student is appointed a supervising professor who represents the research field approved for the student.

Incentive scholarships for doctoral students
A set of 500e and 2000e incentive scholarships are awarded by application for doctoral students who meet the conditions given.
